Last weekend I joined a number of my Apt Wealth colleagues in running the Melbourne Marathon to raise funds for Lungitude. As I have written previously, I have a family member who has faced lung disease, a journey that included a double lung transplant. It’s why I am a huge supporter of Lungitude, a not-for-profit organisation focused on facilitating world-class clinical and research endeavours, medical procedures, therapies, and support for pre and post lung transplant patients and their carers. The work they do is truly lifesaving and incredibly important.
As with last years run we appealed to our friends, colleagues, and clients for their support and I am thrilled to share with you that this event raised over $24,000 for Lungitude, beating our 2018 result! This is something I’m extremely proud of and on behalf of the Lungitude Foundation, I wish to thank everyone who contributed: This money will be going directly to fund research into saving lives and supporting those battling lung disease.
